"I do not like to wear French Cuff shirts because they are too
much trouble in the morning."
Does this sound like you? Most gentlemen do not know that there is a
simple way to put on a French Cuff shirt so as to eliminate the hassle.
You fold over the cuff and put your cuff link through the cuff so that
it is ready to wear before you put the shirt on. (Most gentlemen try and
do it after they put the shirt on and then the trouble, imperfect fold
and frustration set in. You should be able to then stick your hand through
the sleeve and cuff, but be careful so as not to apply too much pressure
on your cufflink set.
A good custom fitted shirt will allow a proper circumference to get
your hand and wrist through to accomplish this without hassle. If this
is not the case, then you might be a candidate for a custom fitted shirt.
" I do not like the button under collar because I can't get the
button in the little pocket or loop under the collar."
The button under collar is a uniquely American style that is continuing
to be very strong for the Spring. Most gentlemen that have trouble with
the buttoning process have big hands or thumbs, but don't despair! Button
the shirt collar buttons first, then feed the tie through the collar so
that it is in position to tie and then proceed to put the shirt on. This
procedure will eliminate any problems with this great - looking collar.
